FRAME SIZES AND MEASUREMENTS

Framed artwork sizes are based on the overall outside dimensions (width and height) of the finished piece inside the frame.

For example, a 36 × 24 inch framed print without a mat will display the full 36 × 24 inch image inside the frame. The exterior frame dimensions will measure approximately 37.25 × 25.25 inches.

For a 36 × 24 inch framed print with a mat, the total exterior frame size will be approximately 37 × 25 inches. The visible image area within the mat opening will measure about 32 × 20 inches.

The slight difference in exterior frame size between the matted and unmatted options is due to the matboard overlapping the artwork by approximately 0.125 inches (1/8 inch) on each side.
